OUR PHILOSOPHY
Players are encouraged to play with freedom, expression and creativity.
We expect all of our players to be committed to progress and have a willingness to learn.
TLD creates a learning environment that is led by the players and coaches combined, to provide players with the ownership to shape their individual goals.
Monitored player progress and feedback is essential.

TLD aims to develop players either side of the touchline by producing better players on the field, and creating better people in the process.

Technical Identity
Our technical identity encourages and supports all of our players to play with creativity and freedom. We strive to deliver sessions that differ from team environments; as we provide a more personalised and catered approach to player development.

Physical Identity
Our physical identity focuses on meeting the conditioning demands of the present-day footballer, by enhancing the key physical components to becoming a well-rounded athlete.

Psychological Identity
TLD’s psychological identity supports players with mental preparation, behaviour management, self-analysis, and reinforcing life skills that are relative to football and everyday life.

Social Identity
Our social identity builds communication and interaction skills for our players through positive relationships between player and coach. We achieve this through fun challenges and tasks throughout sessions.

Coach Romario has experienced a lifelong passion for football, which lead him to receiving a football scholarship to play for Bishop's Stortford academy at age 16; where he played Youth Conference League football and the FA Youth Cup. He played the game with flare and freedom, which is now evident in his creative coaching philosophies.

His coaching experience ranged from grassroot school and community sessions, to elite level development centre sessions to prepare players for Watford Academy. This experienced developed an understanding for the level of coaching and support required for different stages of development.
In 2018 Coach Romario realised a determination to create his own company. It was his ambition to use football as a tool to mentor young people on and off the field, by following his principles and philosophies as a coach.

Post-surgery in 2012, Coach Adisa began his quest to research the human body and to understand athletes both mentally and physically. After graduating from university in 2017, Coach Adisa completed a year of work experience in the sports studies sector; before stepping out of his comfort zone and volunteering in a mental health institute in Sri Lanka. The experience enabled him to understand people from different walks of life and the importance of non-verbal communication.
Following Coach Adisa's years of studying and work experience, he completed his Level 3 Personal Training course, and became a qualified personal trainer. This allowed him to blend his experience in mental health with his knowledge of the human body. Coach Adisa now coaches and nurtures athletes to improve their performance.
